Rick is an actor in New York City and his best friend, Harris, is getting married.  When it becomes clear that this wedding will follow the time honored template of a traditional wedding, Rick questions why marriage equality seems to only come with an assimilation into society as opposed to a celebration of the uniqueness of queer culture.   This line of questioning angers Andrew, the other groom, and Becca the wedding planner.  Everything abruptly turns around when Rick accidentally uncovers a secret that calls into question the definition of a marriage as well as Rick's own personal beliefs about love, intimacy and commitment.
